Thomas discussed the progress with us weekly and always gave us a choice of alternative solutions.

Joost
Thomas has been around for quite a few years in the Amsterdam contracting world. He has already completed quite a few projects to your complete satisfaction. Whether it’s a new bathroom, a kitchen, converting an attic, an extension or a complete renovation.
We always think in terms of solutions and go for long-term quality. Our goal is to realize your dream – beyond expectation.
Being able to build in Amsterdam for 15 years+ feels like a privilege.

Constructive entrepreneurship
Goedbouw is well aware of the challenges of our time. Sustainability is therefore of paramount importance to us, both in terms of the materials we use and our people.
Kenniscentrum Duurzaam Bouwen is a platform that shows entrepreneurs with building or renovation plans the way to sustainable applications and their financing (incentive schemes). Among other things, they offer a ‘second opinion’, so that building plans prepared in the traditional manner can still be made sustainable.
Via the website www.kenniscentrumduurzaambouwen.nl, entrepreneurs can get in touch with companies and organisations that can help them further. From architect to installer, from builder to bank.
Limitation of CO2 emissionsWe are particularly committed to reducing CO2 emissions and are therefore participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). The greatest reduction in greenhouse gases can be achieved in more sustainable building operations. Only 20 percent of greenhouse gas emissions can be attributed to production processes. The remaining 80 percent comes from the operation of completed projects. This means that the greatest gains can be made in this respect in the business unit where the public-private partnership is based. The business units measure and control CO2 emissions from construction sites, transport, own accommodation and suppliers/subcontractors.
GoedBouw is committed to the environment. We do this by making responsible choices. For example in our range of timber. GoedBouw only works with FSC® and PEFC™ certified timber.
FSC® is an initiative of the World Wildlife Fund, the Novib and Friends of the Earth. FSC® stands for a certification system that guarantees the survival of the forests. The FSC® wood is responsibly harvested. Certified products can be recognised by the FSC® logo on the product. The PEFC™ label provides assurance that wood and paper products originate from a sustainably managed forest, with equal attention to people, planet & profit.
GoedBouw strives for the sustainable employability of its employees, by offering training, by conducting an annual employee satisfaction survey and by pursuing an active HSE policy on safety, health, welfare and the environment.
In order to give direction and substance to that vision, GoedBouw has grouped its CSR ambitions in the well-known 3 Ps: People, Planet and Prosperity. This means that we opt for sustainability focused on People, optimising our living environment with the aim of creating a more prosperous starting position for everyone. And we do this in an enterprising, inspiring, involved and professional way. When it comes to sustainable business, we like to set a good example. For example, we are affiliated to the ‘Kenniscentrum Duurzaam Bouwen’.
One of the first requirements of corporate social responsibility is ethics. That is why GoedBouw has introduced a code of conduct which applies to all our employees. We have a confidential advisor whom employees can approach if they observe any violations or if they themselves come up against dilemmas.
Quality is in many things, but if your materials, your craftsmen and your procedures meet high standards, we believe that is the way to guarantee quality.
Goedbouw prefers to use high-quality building materials. To this end, we have selected a number of high-quality, reliable suppliers. All building materials used meet at least the applicable quality requirements. The choice of the final materials and designs is, of course, up to the customer.
Goedbouw is an all-round construction company specialising in private commissions such as toilet/shower extensions, extensions, bathroom renovations, placing dormer windows including brickwork, extensions, complete renovations, conversion of attics, etc. With a few exceptions, we have all the skilled workers in house, so that we can manage the entire project in terms of calculation and planning.
Our services: Structural work, such as extensions | Installation, electrical and plumbing work | Masonry work | Carpentry work | Painting work | Installation and supply of new window frames, doors and staircases | Installation of double glazing | Tiling work | Plastering work | Floor coverings | Demolition work | Assembly work | Renovating façades
We pay a lot of attention to the completion procedure. This procedure consists of the following steps:
During this visit, we ask you to check your project for the work delivered according to the quote, such as the type of tiling and sanitary ware or location of electrical points.
The inspection and delivery of your home are accompanied by a delivery person. During the inspection, you will be given the opportunity to assess your project as if it were a delivery: you will note down on the form provided by us all the points that, in your opinion, still require extra attention.
The completion of your house is an important (legal) moment. If, during the delivery, unexpected points of delivery are found, we will make every effort to solve these points of delivery for you as much as possible during the delivery. In a few cases, this is not possible and the deliverer will note down the delivery points on a ‘completion report’.
The guarantee starts three months after the completion date of your home. The duration of the guarantee is, in general, six years. Exceptions to this are certain components for which a shorter period applies or which are excluded from guarantee, as stated in the SWK guarantee and deposit scheme.
For serious defects, a guarantee period of ten years applies. This includes serious defects to the foundation, main load-bearing structure and the casco, as a result of which the habitability is threatened.
The first three months after delivery are called the maintenance period. During this maintenance period, you can report any defects to the contractor. Defects will be assessed and if the points are eligible for repair, the repair will be started as soon as possible. Towards the end of this maintenance period, we will contact you to discuss whether you still have any defects in your home. After the maintenance period, the guarantee scheme will apply.

Goedbouw was the perfect construction company for us. With their good advice, construction and finishing they have more than fulfilled our dream, always in good consultation.
Fanny
Thanks to a clever solution from Thomas, we suddenly had a few extra square metres of living space.
Denise
In retrospect, we are so glad that we listened to Thomas’ tips. It was a bit more expensive, but we are so happy with it every day!
Nina
Compliments on the aftercare. Thomas had already mentioned that the plaster always starts to work a bit. Goedbouw came to sort this out quickly after three months.
